Portal consists primarily of a series of puzzles that must be solved by teleporting the player's character and simple objects using "the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device", often referred to as the "portal gun", a device that can create inter-spatial portals between two flat planes.

Cave Johnson = Companion Cube? This theory was just fastly thought and may not be very well supported but maybe you could find more evidence about it.Portal is a 2007 puzzle- platform game developed and published by Valve. So, Cave Johnson = Orcle Turret and Oracle Turret = Companion Cube. Well, you don't hear anything from the cube there but maybe GLaDOS didn't want it to give you information for some unknown reason and the cube comes back later as the Oracle Turret. Well, going back to the Companion Cube, GLaDOS says that the Companion Cube cannot speak and that if it does to ignore what it says. Apparently some of the Portal 2 storyline is based on that myth. The turret also refers an ancient greek myth of Prometheus. It seems very mysterious but at the end of the game GLaDOS realizes that she has Carolines mind stored in her. It will also say "She's Caroline, remember that". It will say "Get mad!" and "Don't make lemonade" which are quotes that can be heard from Cave Johnson underground in the old Aperture labs. The turret will say "Thank you" and then will say things that may not make sense at the moment. If you pick it up you will get an achievement called No Hard Feelings. One turret isn't smashed and it will say "I'm different" in a very soft voice. It wouldn't make sense for the Oracle Turret to be in the cube and a turret somewhere else would it? After you pass the turret production line that is found later in the game when you and Wheatley try to escape GLaDOS, you can find a conveyor belt with smashed turrets on it. I also had a small thought that maybe the Oracle Turret is in the cube. Well, it is a very common theory that the cube stores failed test subjects who previously tested at Aperture. Almost as if the Companion Cube is singing the song. When you move away from it you cant hear the song anymore. When you get close to the Companion Cube you can hear a turret singing the turret opera found at the end of the game. In Portal 2 there is one test chamber where you use the Companion Cube in Chapter 2 Test Chamber 7. But, I wonder how he could be heard behind that wall in Test Chamber 17 of Chapter 3. So that must mean that Doug Rattmann and his Companion Cube are on the moon. This doesn't really support the theory very well but, in the comic Lab Rat about Doug Rattmann says "I'd rather of gone to the moon," replying to another Aperture employee who is talking about how GLaDOS is the generations moonshot. Apparently that is Doug Rattmann's last transmission he made to Aperture. On the achievement picture it shows a Portal radio with a mouse next to it. After some people have decoded that sound theyhave found out that it produces an Image with a Companion Cube on the moon. If you bring the radio with you into that room it will make a wierd noise and you will get the achievment Final Transmission.

When you go over to where the two slanted portable walls are you can see a room. If you hold it you will notice it playing a version of Still Alive. One of the items within the "trash" is a Portal radio. Test Chamber 6 in The Cold Boot chapter, when you hit the button GLaDOS talks about trsh falling from the cube dispenser. Well, I was getting achievments when I found one called Final Transmission. We always like to hear theories about Rattmann and GLaDOS being Chell's mother. A friend and I are huge fans of the Portal series.
